ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I suffered through PAM on a RedHat Linux box. The combination of flaky
Linuxisms, PAM, and the SYSV-style init drove me to FreeBSD. I've been very
VERY happy ever since. Please don't visit that nightmare on us here. At least
don't integrate it with the base install. Something like the way we do
kerberos would be nice for those who would want it and let those like me who
have problems with it avoid it.
