OK - I got it to install from CD this morning and got
KDE and everything working (except sound card - that's
another issue). I still have two concerns..

1) In KDE , my desktop seems to extend beyond the
screen itself. My desktop settings *should* be 800x600
but I *think* my card (Number 9 FX Motion 531) can do
1024x768 or close (in 8 bit color). How do I go about
changing this to that setting? I would like to use
sysinstall - but then up pops prob 2...

2) After I logged out of KDE and back to the shell
(which shows me a "$", so I don't think I'm using bash
and that's what I WANT to use.) I try to go to root
via "su" and it tells me that I cannot because I'm not
in the correct group?!?!

I'm trying to learn this system and eventually be
proficient in it so any and all help is appreciated!
