I don't see anything in /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/LINT or
http://people.freebsd.org/~msmith/RAID/index.html.  You may try contacting
some of the individuals mentioned on that page or post to freebsd-scsi.

Under 4.0-STABLE, if you cvsup using 
/usr/share/examples/cvsup/4.x-stable-supfile you will end up with
4.1-STABLE (or just 'stable').
