I have been trying to get a Linksys Wireless card (model WPC11) working in
FreeBSD 4.3 (Generic kernel).

It has been suggested that the wi driver should work for this card.

I made an entry in my /etc/pccard.conf file and I have got it loading the wi
driver.

When I insert the card, it detects it, loads the driver, and it can grab the
MAC address of the card. It then makes an Ethernet device that shows up in
ifconfig. However, it would seem if I try to DO anything to the card beyond
just inserting it and loading the driver that it locks my machine
(specifically trying to assign it an IP address).

I have attached my dmesg, the output of "pccardc dumpcis", my
/etc/pccard.conf, and the output of ifconfig.

My guess is that it does something *slightly* differently than other
standard Prism II cards that is causing issues. Other possibilities include
address conflicts on my machine however I have used other regular Ethernet
adaptors in it and they have worked fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Is there any other debugging information that would be helpful?

Thanks!

-Eric
