Tried it but the mplayer thing didn't work. After a while
(approx. 300 seconds) I get this error:

DEMUXER: Too many (4096 in 8343498 bytes) video packets in the buffer!
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For .AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.

I still have to try what happens if I re-encode it with
Virtual Dub...
