Weird.

Either way, I have a Soundblaster AWE-32 which I use since 2.2.[78] 3.x
and 4.0-CURRENT with:

controller pnp0
device pcm0

You might wish to look at those entries in your LINT file and see if
that does work for you. Because it does for me:

pcm0: <SB16 PnP> at port 0x220-0x22f,0x330-0x331,0x388-0x38b irq 5 drq
1,5 on isa0

Notice how it is detected as SB-16, which is logical since the AWE-32
isn't different from the standard SB-16 in terms of what it can do and
such. They just added a lot of extra stuff which makes it `32'.
