How about this?

After 2.2 is done, and the majority of development work is on 3.0, how about
adding some field to the packages databse (/var/db/pkg) that indicates
whether a package/port was added as a package or a port, and then as a 
part of the 'make world' process, any packages added as ports would
be recompiled...

Would this be a good thing (my naieve mind says yes), or not, and why?
