(Hitting 'return' once in a while wouldn't hurt, you know.) No, it's not that amazing. MacOS is a mess in the way it is written. I don't have this from my own experience, but it's a bit weird to be checking the serial port when you're reading from the floppy disk. But then again, a byte might come in and you would have missed that. It's far more easier to port FreeBSD to Alpha than to port MacOS to PPC. - Peter
