Subject: ppp hangs with entries in resolv.conf
Message-ID: <36DAF024.A0E0F765@dmcwave.com>

The ppp utility hangs when there is an entry in /etc/resolv.conf
(for the nameserver(s)).
It also hangs when the named daemon is running, as is the case
when the machine comes up. Every time I boot the machine (PC),
I have to kill named, comment the entries in /etc/resolv.conf,
connect through ppp and then uncomment the entries in
resolv.conf.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Is it a known problem?

Mahesh
