To add to my previous messages on getting up the new release on my faster machine-- I moved the hard disk, which contains a small system which runs OK on the the DX4-100, over to the Cyrix and installed the bootstrap manager to boot it. Got same symptoms as before - bootstrap loader appears to work, see lots of disk activity, the text, data, bss, symbols, and total+entry address lines. Then:- Fatal Trap 9: general protection fault in kernel mode addresses as previously (eg instr. pointer 0x8:0xf01aad71) Doesn't really look like a DOS/loader fault? -- robert w hall To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
