I'm assuming you also have:
NameVirtualHost *

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#virtualhost

	Addr can be:
	- The character *, which is used only in combination with
	  NameVirtualHost * to match all IP addresses;

Problem with today's modular software: they start with the modules
    and never get to the software part.
