further to this cause, I can do a remote dump to st0 with a blocking factor of 56, but locally, doing "dump 0bf 56 /dev/nrst0 /" will generate lots of SCSI error messages. I take this to mean it doesn't like data coming at it fast, but why doesn't the SCSI stuff handle this rather than proucing all those error messsages ?
