You could try using vnconfig: e.g.

	(cd /dev; sh MAKEDEV vn0)
	vnconfig -e -s labels /dev/vn0 /path/to/plain/disk
	mkdir /vmdisk
	mount -t msdos /dev/vn0s1 /vmdisk

and then when you're finished, use

	umount /vmdisk
	vnconfig -u /dev/vn0
