    I used to get this on 4.4-STABLE when trying to access a DVD.
This was with the old ATA code, which croaked when you
attempted to read past 4GB (i.e., 2^32).  No problems accessing
DVDs on 4.5-RELEASE with the new ATA code.

    What version of FreeBSD are you running, Chris?
