Do you want to follow the implications of your Wabi comment there 
through, perhaps?

I would guess 6-12 months at least.  It will require a NIC hardware 
emulation to be written, which isn't going to happen fast.  Then there 
are plenty of technical issues involved.  We discussed them on the 
bochs list a few months back, and I think Kevin got the general idea, 
but he has his own goals that are likely to dictate timing.
