Thanks.  I would recommend that you also make the error message slightly
more "bozo-friendly".
Changing:

"passthru requires guest memory to be wired"

to

"passthru requires guest memory to be wired, please use -S"

or something similar.  That would eliminate one round-trip of looking up
the man page and docs to figure out
what is wrong.
