Not that I know of, as long as /opt/bin is in your path you will probably
be okay.

Hint hint:

> /opt/bin    otherserver:/usr/local/bin
> /opt/lib    otherserver:/usr/local/lib

Run `ldconfig -m /opt/lib' to pick up those libraries.

> /opt/man    oterhserver:/usr/local/man

Edit /etc/manpath.config and add this directory as optional.
