Hi !

When do :

KDE->Control center->Peripherals
and then choosing Printers

get a small Window : "Initializing manager..."

that fails with message :

"Unable to retrieve the printer list. Error message received from manager.
Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly
installed and running. Error : connection refused."

But I pkg_added cups_base and cups ...

Tried to use CUPS configuration program in console mode without being able to
change anything.

Maybe is it necessary to edit a configuration file ?

In the handbook, there is very few about CUPS (in Chapter 9 Printing).

Any light ?

Fabrice.
