Wow! The subject of GFS came up a few days ago, including the possibility of
doing a port to FreeBSD ourselves if nothing else turned up.  The timing of
this is amazing!

Count a definite Yes! from Yahoo.

We have a particular application in mind, but the whole SAN thing opens up
a lot of possibilities in clusters,

The project has a number of people with expertise in the VFS area.

There are a number of entities who would benefit from this.  Many are used
