Paul, I remember reading somewhere (perhaps on this list a few times) that
you can't boot to FreeBSD from a partition that is beyond 500Mb. I would
make your DOS partition 10Mb, then you won't have this problem...

(personally, I think this limitation is DOS's fault.)
