A couple of points for consideration in this mail.

With the 5-Stable Roadmap, that most of us will have read by now, in
mind, specifically this bit:

	The manual pages, Handbook, and FAQ should be free from content
	specific to FreeBSD 4.x, i.e. all text should be equally applicable to
	FreeBSD 5.x,

Since at the moment RELENG_4 and CURRENT have some disparities, I think we
have three options:

i)	Branch the doc/ tree;

ii)	Abandon the "doc/ reflects life with -stable" approach;

iii)	Muddle through adding <note>s, etc and get ourselves in a state.

Which one should we be going for ?

Also, I think now is a good time to kill all 2.x and 3.x stuff from
the docs. I could be convinced that 3.x should stay - I'm unshakeable
on 2.x, but that doesn't mean I'm about to barge ahead and do it.

Discuss.
