} I don't know what is causing it, but I bet your time problems have to do
} with FreeBSD seeing a processor speed of 19.73-MHz.

I agree.  I have been trying to figure out where this number is coming
from.  It should be 233 MHz.  What I have noticed is that it varies between
about 18 and 20 with each boot.
