ummmm if you have an IJ-II then
you must be leasing it from IBM. And IMB is ending all teh leases and
recalling them.
They never sold them as far as I know.. no wait you are in .de..
hmmm that may be different..

the best way is to take out the disk.
put it on a freeBSD system
edit /etc/tty to turn on the serial console..

While the OS is in fact FreeBSD..
(4.4 at the latest upgrade avaliable I believe)
I don't think that people here would know of any such cookies..


I wouldn't mind a IJ-II myself actually..
nice machine as a boundary firewall and router for the home..

Why do you think you need root access.?
