 The problem remains in freebsd 6,3, The solution is to change the
 Makefile in line 89 to:
 
 .if ${OSVERSION} < 700042
         @${REINPLACE_CMD} -e 's|-Wl,-no-undefined||' \
                 ${WRKSRC}/src/Makefile.in
 .endif
 
 the /src is missing and this change compiles in 6.3
