Others may disagree, but I don't like the idea of forcing every port to
be it's maximum size.  Just because it CAN do something doesn't mean it
MUST do it.  Take a look at how databases/postgresql uses an environment
variable, USE_TCL, to choose whether or not to bring in tcl.  Another
possiblity is to use multiple ports, with differently designed
dependencies, and a good example of using multiple ports with one master
file is port/a2ps.

I think I like the master port method, personally, because it creates
packages already customized and named right, and Satoshi would probably
like that (as long as they all package right).
