Its afterstep all right. We have a 3 headed machine at work for network 
monitoring that is currently running afterstep. Sometimes you just click
and the damned window manager exits abnormally, losing all 3 displays.
I'm currently beating relevant ppl up to stop that machine from running
afterstep. Afterstep is not all that stable it seems.
