Things should in general go into -current before going into -stable.
Things one is 'afraid of touching' should definately go in -current
first, if the code in -current and -stable is similar - it is much
much much better to break -current than -stable, and -current is the
codebase that will be carried forward - if it is only done in 2.2, it
is likely to disappear when we go 3.0...
