FreeBSD is still pretty Intel-centric, but NetBSD does have a Mac port.  
It doesn't work on every Mac platform, tho, so you better cehck with a 
NetBSD expert.  You can either find them on the Usenet NetBSD groups, or 
mail to majordomo@NetBSD.org, and use their majordomo to get on their 
mail lists.
