Right now I am preparing a port of a library
which uses flex/bison. To quote the documentation:

``For a complete build from scratch, you need GNU flex and bison
(other lex/yacc implementation do not work), though generated scanner
and parser C files are also included.''

And I see, both "*.y" and "*.tab.c" files are included.

How one can check quickly whether the application
actually needs GNU bison features?

I use STABLE for porting, so I do actually have bison installed.
(/usr/bin/bison seems to be linked to /usr/bin/byacc).
