I'm trying to avoid doing something that urgently needs doing, so I tried your patch with: -- groff -mandoc -Tascii $@ | less [my little script; I don't know what the best "man" imitator is] -- man [gzip'd it next to dd.1.gz as xxx.1.gz] -- xemacs's manual-entry It is probably wrong in bolding things other than "conv" and "value", but I wouldn't worry about that if I were you.
