I have an Ethernet Modem too, (ST Home) working in PPP mode. In this case, It needs a pptp tunnel to be established between the Modem and the PC. I am using a pptp client that comes in the ports collection, and it works quite fine although somethimes I got an error message for a unix socket already running. Richard Cotrina.
