Are you using a custom kernel with

controller    wdc1    at isa? port "IO_WD2" bio irq 15

commented out in the config file or have you disabled it via
``boot -c''?

In the former case, edit the config file and re-build the kernel,
in the latter edit /boot/boot.conf.
