Have you done the "cd /dev ; ./MAKEDEV snd1 ; ln -sf audio1 audio" stuff?
With pcm0 sound the devices will be named as "xxx1" instead of "xxx0".
It's a bit weird but had to do with the current design of the probing
for hareware are boot time, etc.
