Of course, that's just for effect (and personal gratification); you can't watch his face while you pull the cable from the patch panel or disable the port he's hooked up to on backbone switch, since you don't let him into the NOC. (Yes, I used to read bofh.* and the Scary Devil Monastery on a regular basis. I don't have time for that any more, unfortunately.)
