hi, I am tryng to compile gnome2 on today -stable
(including ports), watch:
#cd gnome2
#make reinstall
....
gnome-config: not found
gnome-config: not found
Package gail was not found in the pkg-config search
path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing
`gail.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gail' found

the
"/usr/ports/x11/gnomeapplets2/work/gnome-applets-2.0.1/config.log"
including the output of the failure of your make
command. Also, it might
be a good idea to provide an overview of all
packages installed on your
system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`).

Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnomeapplets2.
