Yeah, I mentioned the consistency, and I still think it'd be nice to
show off :) Like maybe you could install some game or application that
needs some kind of configuration from ports and then show how you'd
configure it. And perhaps do that with a couple other things to show
that stuff really goes in the right space. Whether or not there's time
to demonstrate it, it must be said.

In the mean time, here are some java projects that look neat that I
found @ sf:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ctbj3d/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtuadesk/
http://aoi.sourceforge.net/ <-- this one looks really cool :)
http://javaisdoomed.sourceforge.net/ <-- doom like game in java, uses
opengl, looks neat.

Doing a search for Java on SF should give much more stuff, these are the
things that jumped out at me as being "eye-candy".

Another idea would be to pre-make a live cd of FreeBSD, perhaps with
picobsd (seems to be the easiest way to me) or something else and pop it
in at some point to display that you have the same flexibility as with
Linux -- except it's consistent. It'll be great if they do something
like this and boot with Knoppix while having Red Hat installed... Then
we can really show the configuration differences.

I wouldn't mind creating a picobsd image for you guys. If this is a good
idea, lemme know what kind of kernel to build and what release, and I'll
make it right away :).
