Hello SCSI gurus, just a question -- I know that the driver is in work already. Is Advansys PCI SCSI HDA any good from the technical point of view? >From my (rather limited) experience with Advansys SCSI HBA I got an impression that it is designed to fill a nishe between NCR 53c810 and Adaptec 2940; it's price is between those ones, but performance is worse than of above two. We also had a headache while equipping the box for a customer because of Advansys SCSI -- it wasn't supported by FreeBSD, UnixWare drivers were dead, we weren't able to get some working driver set, and SCO UNIX 3.2.4 was settled there at last; and the drivers were really bad, NCR outperformed Advansys easily. I think that device itself is probably not that bad, but the drivers for UW and SCO were buggy? -- With best regards -- Andrew Stesin. +380 (44) 2760188 +380 (44) 2713457 +380 (44) 2713560 "You may delegate authority, but not responsibility."
