Note that almost all of his frustration was due to the multiple
distributions problem in Linux; a problem we do not, happily, share
with Linux.  Also note that FreeBSD, by and large, does not have
nearly as many incompatible changes to the device driver interface.
Another Linux problem which is a non-problem in the FreeBSD world.  As
far as probing hardware is concerned, by and large, I've not needed to
use anything but the GENERIC kernel for a long, long time now.  The
whole setting up of CD-RW devices as a pseudo-scsi device on Linux is
a kludge.

In other words, I have to say that the complaint above does not in any
way support your contention that FreeBSD is hard to install and use.
