Hi to everyone,

I have a Asus P4P800S Motherboard on a:
$ uname -a
FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE-p9 FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE-p9 #1: Fri Jul  9
21:45:05 JST 2004     i386

The User Guide for my motherboard says that it comes with a:
ADI AD1888 AC'97 audio CODEC onboard provides 6-channel audio playback
for 5.1 surround sound...

Since my IBM R40e Thinkpad at the office says that I have a AC97 2.2
compatible and I was able to enable sound by compiling my kernel with
the "device pcm", this is also what I did with my desktop PC, above, but:
$ dmesg | grep pcm
pcm0: <Intel ICH5 (82801EB)> port 0xee80-0xeebf,0xe800-0xe8ff mem
0xfebff400-0xfebff4ff,0xfebff800-0xfebff9ff irq 10 at device 31.5 on pci0
pcm0: <Unknown AC97 Codec (id = 0x41445368)>

Is there anyway that I can enable the onboard audio on my desktop PC?
I would really appreciate if anyone can give me any advice on this one...
Thanks in advance...
