I think picobsd actually tries to not use the loader so it can cram as much
onto the floppy as it can fit.  I think one nice feature of the custom floppy
that just got killed was that it could actually use a separate floppy for the
mfsroot from the kernel like kern.flp nad mfsroot.flp for installation.
