A person who does not already have training in the editor that
they must use to get base level functionality out of their system.

So the editor must be one with a clearly identified help command at
all times, at a minimum, and, preferrably, menus that get accessed
by the help command instead of just an odd "learn these control keys"
table.

I suspect the editor would have to be "modeless" (unlike vi or ex).
