Hi all

OK, trying to get a machine to dual boot
FreeBSD 4.3 and W2K. I have two IDE drives.
The pri drive has W2k loaded and the sec drive
is fBSD. I've tried everything to get this
machine to dual boot. Install fbsd then w2k,
then w2k/fbsd, diff partitions, diff drives
with no success. I've frantically searched
lists/web docs but nothing seems to work.

Here's my current boot.ini fyi.....

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)="FreeBSD Unix"
C:\boot0 = "FreeBSD 4.2 0"
C:\boot1 = "FreeBSD 4.2 1"
C:\boot2 = "FreeBSD 4.2 2"

I copied the bootX files from the CDROM #2 disk
from /boot to c:\

Also, if I tell bios to boot C,A,SCSI then W2k
loads (with the boot options from boot.ini above
but none of the specified fbsd options work,
machine just says either "boot error" or
"PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT". However, if I
tell bios to boot D,A,SCSI the fbsd boots
normally. In a sane world I would be happy
with this solution however the W2k is for use
by "none" *nix people so I'd much rather the
boot loader system works.

Anyone any ideas?

Ak
