Use script(1) to make the transcript: % script /tmp/session.log % ... do ports related things ... % exit The session.log should contain a copy of everything that got printed onto your terminal. Pastebin sites are a dime a dozen, and you can probably find one that lets you use standard unix tools to upload to it. Then just post the link here. Chances are the problem you've run into is not unique to you, and that someone will know exactly what to do to sort you out.
