I have not been able to get any version of FreeBSD (5.x or 6.x), PC-BSD, or DesktopBSD to run inside Virtual PC 7 on my Mac Mini. The installs hang on the message: Extracting base into / directory 2% Supposedly FreeBSD did run in older versions of Virtual PC (I guess before Microsoft bought Connectix). Inside the VM, I tried selecting the types "UNIX", "Linux", and "Unspecified". None work. I wonder which "UNIX" does work. Any suggestions?
