  I've had a DPT SmartRAID IV die before.  I popped in a new controllor,
hooked up the drive array and turned it on.  Everything just worked.  The
DPT controllers store the config in NVRAM and on disk.  If there is no
config in NVRAM, and it pull it off the disks.
