In that case the 'make TARGET_ARCH=powerpc buildworld' will the right thing. After this step, you'll need a 'make TARGET_ARCH=powerpc buildkernel', though the kernel will require a lot of work to function on non-OpenFirmware non-G3/G4 systems.
