NFSv2 is the default for FreeBSD clients.  Perhaps the foreign
clients have too much trust that NFSv3 actually works on a
FreeBSD server :-).  However, I have few problems with /usr
NFSv3-mounted on FreeBSD clients from a FreeBSD server.
