You want FreeBSD if:

1.  You want to set up a high-performance network server.
2.  You don't want it to crash all the time.
3.  You want to get prompt service and have people know what you're
    running.

Yes, in my opinion ;-)  FreeBSD is, well, free, so find a spare disk and
give it a try.
