JFYI. Both cards are Netgear MA401RA operating in 11Mb/s mode.
Filesize is 46MB, FTP, FreeBSD 4.5-RC3 <--> FreeBSD 5.0-RC3:
BSS mode: ~1900 Kb/s
ad-hoc mode: ~4300 Kb/s
