An easy way is to recover the vi session " vi -r" the files that you
have improperly closed and then ":q or 'q!" to quit vi. The message
for the file you recovered will go away at this point. Then, when you
really need to recover a vi session, you won't have a confusing list
of files out there to be recovered.
